We have been enjoying listening to the story ‘The Naughty Bus’. The children drew a story map to retell the story – so we can share it with others!
We then practiced re-telling the story in full sentences and even acted it out! After that, we wrote a word bank to help us when we wrote the story. We looked up new, adventurous words to make our writing more engaging.
Using the story map and word bank we wrote the story ourselves. Here is a fantastic example of a year 1 child’s writing.
