21 April 2020: Home learning

Tuesday 21 April 2020

Good morning.

Are you back into the swing of things? Are you starting your day with a Joe Wicks workout? I’ve tried to do some PE every day and the Joe Wicks workouts are fun! Don’t forget, a routine or timetable can help you to organise your day.

Maths: Yesterday’s answers – Year 3 and Year 4.                     Today’s learning –Year 3 and Year 4.

Reading: Which poem did you choose yesterday? Can you still remember it? Looking at the poems from yesterday, which poem did you like the best and why? Did it rhyme? Did it have any nonsense words? Was it funny? Did it remind you of something that has happened to you? Which words made the poem exciting?

Write a paragraph explaining which poem is your favourite, using the prompts above to help you. (If you used a different poem, you could write about that one instead.)

Reading challenge – write your own poem. Could you make it rhyme, or make a nonsense poem? Don’t forget to email any poems in.

Writing:  Yesterday’s answers. Today we are going to write our own adverbs and adverbials. Watch the film clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhSDxp0oQK8  and then complete the questions using ideas from the clip. Use this information to write some sentences in your books using adverbials. Don’t forget to use your lovely handwriting and punctuation!
