Living and Learning – Dental Hygiene

This week, in our Living and Learning session, we’ve been learning about how to keep our teeth healthy and strong. We learnt that:
  • we should brush our teeth twice a day
  • some foods and drinks have less sugar and are better for our teeth
  • too much sugar can harm our teeth
  • parents, carers and dentists can help us look after our teeth
  • it’s important to visit the dentist for regular check-ups

We also practised the steps for brushing our teeth and talked about making sure we clean all parts of our teeth, including the inside and outside.

Help at home by using a timer or a favourite song to make sure your child is brushing their teeth for 2 minutes. Making it part of a morning and bedtime routine can really help to remember.
