It’s our final week of spellings for this half term! We are going to be spelling adverbs. An adverb gives us information about how something is done.

This week, our spelling words will be compound words. Compound words are individual words that are made up of two other words combined. For example, hand and bag = handbag.

This week, we’ve been learning about contractions!

Contractions include an apostrophe to show the omission of letters. For example, I am is contracted to I’m and could not is contracted to couldn’t.
