Spellings – 26.04.24

Posted on Friday 26 April 2024 by Mr Nash

This week’s spelling words are from our spelling learning this week – The ‘W Special’

The /w/ sound affects how the graphemes a, ar and or are said.
Note that qu is made up of /k/ and /w/, so also affects the graphemes a, ar and or.

We double the final consonant to protect a short vowel sound when adding -ing.

Please practise these words for a test on Friday 3rd May.

wagging
warning
watering
working
squatting
swapping
arm
warm
fork
work
